Mrs. Charles Nyffler went to Geneva this morning to look after some business affairs during the day. Miss Cenu Hathaway went to Fort Wayne Saturday to visit with her mother, Mrs. Mattie Hathaway. Kate Hammell left Saturday for Portland to be the guest of her sister. Mrs. C. B. Smith, over Sunday. Ted Ramsey of Fort Wayne, a former Decatur young man, was in the city over Sunday visiting with friends. John Joseph was at Monroe, Berne and Geneva today in the interest of the Josheph & Hunsicker wholesale firm. Dr. and Mrs. C. S. Clark were among the many who went to Rome City Sunday morning where they spent the day enjoying an outing. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Annen of Columbus, Ohio, who have been the guests of his brother, O. L. Annen, left Saturday for their home. Mrs. Lee Hindman and daughter, Capitola Antionette, of St. Joe, are visiting with Mrs. Hindman’s sister. Mrs. Charles Christen. Mrs. Frank Parent and daughter. Mrs. John Hesler, went to Ft. Wayne Saturday afternoon for a two days visit with relatives. The brick house, formerly the Trout homestead, and then the Commercial club rooms, now the property of L. C. Waring, is being remodeled. William Roop and son, Dan, in Blue Creek township, where she spent Sunday. “The Story of the Pink Rose " is the true story that will be told Sunday evening, July 30th, at the Presbyterian church. The music to this is a part of the story and will be rendered by the choir. Everybody is cordially invited to attend. Mrs. C. U. Wade and daughters, the Misses Mary and Josephine, who have been spending a Short time with Mrs. J. K. John Logan was looking after business matters north of the city today. Miss Lydia Thomas retnFned this morning to Fort Wayne after a visit with her sister, Mrs. Sloan Meyers. Another sister, Mrs. Ten a Railing, of Elkhart, is also visiting at the Meyers home. Mr. and Mrs. C. E. McDonald of Ft. Wayne have arrived here and will make this place their home, Mr. McDonald. who is a printer of thirty-five years or more of experience, having taken a position in the job department of the Herald. They were entertained Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Lyon. Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Clark have returned from 'Rome City, where they spent Sunday at this famous resort. Rev. Dawson, pastor of the Christian church, and his daughter, Miss Vivian, left today for Indianapolis, thence to Columbus, Ind., where Rev. Dawson will hold evangelistic services. He is also commencing upon his vacation, having been granted a leave by his people.
