Mr. and Mrs. Zeak Evans have gone to Anderson to attend the camp meeting of the Church of God. which will close Sunday. Rev. and Mrs. D. E. Mexico, since the great earthquake, I which did so much damage to life and ! property in Mexico City and that region, it is thought that they are safe, as they are located five hundred miles south of Mexico City. Word from Mr. and Mrs. Joe Wherry and family who went to California several months ago, is that they like the place and are enjoying good health but expect to return to their | farm near Monroeville in September. Mrs. Wherry’s sister, Miss Rose Fleming, who has been there several years, will return here for a several months' visit, but expects to return to California to live. A large number of Decatur people went to Fort Wayne this morning to represent the local churches at the state Sunday school convention, which convened there this morning, and will continue over Sunday.
