Mr. Mentzer is the father of Erman Mentzer and came to this city about ten years ago from Decatur, where he is well known. o ■ Mrs. Peter Gaffer, who has been subject to heart trouble for some time had a most severe attack this morning about 7 o’clock and for a while it was tnougnt she could not survive. Medical attention was given at once, however, and she is now resting much easier.

Hence there will be no lecture at that time. , o COURT HOUSE NEWS! I Charles Foughty Granted a Divorce From Wife on Cross Complaint. CHILDREN PARTED Father to Have Eldest Son —Mother Given Daughter and Son. Judge Merriyman this afternoon at 2 o’clock rendered his decision in the divorce case of Laura A. Foughty vs. Charles K. Fougnty. He granted the divorce to the defendant, Charles Foughty on his cross complaint and also gave him the care and custody of the eldest son, Russell, aged ten years. To Mrs. Foughty he gave a decree for- S2OO alimony, which may be paid quarterly, on or before June Ist. He gave to her also the care and custody of the two youngest children, Marvel V., aged eight, and Ralph, aged three, and the defendant is to pay to Mrs. Foughty for the support of said children until further order of the court the sum of $7 each month, payable semi-monthly. Each of the parties to the divorce are given the right to see and associate with all of the children at any reasonable time, all until further order of the court. Mr. Foughty has been employed as conductor on the B. G & C. interurban line. Harry Suman, a young man from east of the city, with the bride's father, U. 8. Drummond, of Pleasant Mills, applied at the county clerk’s office ths afternoon for a marriage license, the bride to be Miss Bessie Drummond. As she was not wth the ; groom, and her signature was necesI sary to the application, it was necesj sary to make the trip again to Pleasant Mills before the license could be issued, but the return will be made this evening.
