CLOSE OF YEAR —— For Evangelical Church— Year Has Been Marked With Pleasure. REV. HAIST COMING Will Conduct Services at Local Church Next Sunday Morning. We still have left one Sunday of this conference year Another year's work of pleasant memories is closing. How quickly the days go by! Standing at the close of the year's work, we cannot help but reflect over the past. We naturally ask ourselves the question, Have we done all that was in our power to do? Did we not let slip by some golden opportunity that will never return again? If we have, may w'e resolve in our hearts that in the new year about to break in upon us, we shall do our very best to do whatever our hand findeth to do. We are certainly gratified to God for his mercies to us during the past year and for the success that has come to us during the three years ws as a church and pastor have labored together. May the Evangelical church be felt in a still greater measure in the city of Decatur. Let every Evangelical be present in all of the services Sunday. Rev. A. B. Haist, who served as pastor for four consecutive years, will preach Sunday morning. Come and let us make the last Sunday the greatest day of the year. REV. D. O. WISE, Pastor.
