THE SOCIAL NOTES CONTINUED FROM PAGE TWO set of napkins. This very acceptable gift was presented by Miss Gusta Cramer, the chief ojierator. who made a very neat little presentation speech. A very pleasant reunion was held and during the evening the luncheon which the girls took with them, and which Mrs. Shrank prepared, was spread picnic fashion on the floor and partaken of with great pleasure. The menu consisted of hot veal sandwiches, scalloped corn, cottage cheese, pickles, fruit salad, cake and coffee. Ben Shrank proved himself the “dandy, handy” man about the house and did all the waitisg on the picnickers. The club unexpectedly turned into a slumber party, the girls remaining over night at the Mann home. This unexpected turn of affairs was due to the fact that one of the club girls. Miss Huldah Loser, was to leave today for Fort Wayne, where she will make her home with her sister, Mrs. Busche. and that this would be the last time she would be with them, at least for several weeks. Mrs. L. B. Boulton of Michigan City was an out-of-town guest, the others being Grace Purdy, Huldah Loser, Flora Fledderjohann and Inez Coverdale. This evening the dance which has been announced for the past several days by the Young Men's Social club will be given and many in the city are planning to attend. It is to be a swell affair and guests from out of the city will be in attendance. Music for the occasion will be as usual, the best to be secured, and another evening of pleasure will be assured those who anticipate attending.
Mrs. Fred Patterson and Miss Stella Ellis with the Black Rags were entertained Wednesdaj- afternoon by Miss Midge Smith, the afternoon hours being devoted to sewing, which was laid aside later for the luncheon which was very delicious and served in two courses. a CONFERENCE MEETING.
