Mont Fee arrived home today from his regular trip and will remain over Sunday as the guest of his family. Miss Dora Fairchild left this morning for Richmond, where she will visit for a short while with friends. Leo Yager returned home last evening from Toledo, and will remain over Sunday with his brothers and sister, Howard Wisehaupt, who is teaching in Berne, came home this morning for an over-Sunday stay with his parents.

Miss Ruby Artman and Miss Callie Ruhl of Middletown were shopping in Fort Wayne today. On returning Miss Ruby will stop off at Middletown and spend Sunday at the Ruhl home. Residents of Eighth street were much excited yesterday by a runaway of two horses hitched to a buggy and ; driven by a man. The horses ran i from one end of the street to the other before the driver finally got them un- ' der control. No damage or injury i was done. Mrs. H. G. Schumm transferred here 1 yesterday afternoon on her way to Ft. ' Wayne to attend the funeral of her < brother, Charles Kramer, whose death I occurred Wednesday morning at the ’ home, seven miles northeast of Fort s Wayne. The funeral will be held Sun- t day afternoon. t

Lawrence Lord has accepted a position at the John Didot jewelry store on the north side of the court house.
C. W. R. Schwartz of Berne transferred here this morning on his way to Fort Wayne for a visit over Sunday. Harve Rice left today for Berne ro spend Sunday with Mrs. Rice’s folks. Mrs. Rice has been there for several days.

Mrs. Harry Guckert of Pittsburg, Pa., who had been the guest of relatives here for several days, left today for Chicago, where she will remain for a short while before leaving for her home in the east. Mrs. Amos Fisher and daughter, Mildred and Florence, left on the 4 o'clock car yesterday afternoon for Root township, where they will visit over Sunday with her father, George Dutcher, and family. A number of hunter sports are making arrangements for a hunting expedition through the south and expect
to be absent from the city for several months. They will leave in the near future but have set no special date as yet. While Samuel Doak was driving I merrily homeward in his sleigh at noon today, he turned the corner of * Monroe and Second street too sharpj and the sleigh was overturned, the occupants falling with it. No one was hurt and the sleigh was soon turned “right side up with care” and they drove merrily onward. Mrs. Ross Mallonee and son, Lisle, left today for Fort Wayne to visit with her brother, Melvin Smith, and other relatives. She was accompanied by her nephew, James Smith, of Fort Wayne, who is returning home after spending a week here. Mrs. Mallonee will attend the Chapman-Alexander revival while in Fort Wayne.
