The Misses Minnie and Bertha Bogner were hostesses at a farewell party given last evening at the Charles Omler home in honor of the Mieses Tot and Ethel Hildebrand, who leave next week for their future home In Ft. Wayne. Progressive peanuts, with a number of other games, and a delicious luncheon, were features of the entertainment. In progressive peanuts, the first prize was awarded Miss Inez Ray, and the second, to Charles Baxter. The evening was a very merry one, In spite of regret that the young friends would soon leave to go to another city. Those present were the Misses Inez Ray, Anna and Lena ' Meyer, Bertha, Gertrude and Emma Keller, Emma Bogner, Blanche Miller and Ida Bogner, Messrs. guests of Wilton Beery end family Sunday, the affair being a sort of family reunion, or farewell to the old homestead. This was the last family dinner that will be enjoyed on the old Beery homestead, as the family Is preparing to move to the new farm and the affair was a sort of informal leave-taking. John Kiracofe, bookkeeper and stenographer for the Smith & Bell office, spent Sunday at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. I. Kiracofe, at Wren, Ohio, where a family dinner was given in celebration of his birthday anniversary. The Eastern Star social for Friday night has ben postponed for the high school lecture course, which is for that evening. The worthy matron would like to have a short business meeting Friday evening at 7:30 sharp. Miss Letta Wetter will be hostess this evening to the members of the Christian Endeavor society of the German Reformed church at their regular monthly business and social session. The C. B. L. of I. will give a bov social at the hall Thursday evening. A number of entertainment features will combine to make this event a most enjoyable one. David Hensley, Dick Heller, Miller Ellingham, Robert Spetnagel and Johnny Love have organized what they will call the "Kitten Coon Skin Club.” The first meeting will be held with Dick Heller. The Sewing club will be entertained by Mrs. P. G. Hooper tomorrow afternoon. Mrs. Dr. Nysew-ander of Des Moines, Daniel Weldy and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Fisher were entertained today at the J. T. Baker home west of the city. The Phi Delta Kappas will give a dance at the hall Wednesday evening. A number of Fort Wayne visitors are expected.

Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Frisinger were guests Sunday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Dailey, east of the city. Glenn Wise and Abbott Carter of Fort Wayne will be among the attendants at the Phi Delta dance Wednesday evening. The Black Rag club will enjoy one of its afternoon meetings at the home of Mrs. Hugh Hite Wednesday. The Misses Sue and Celia Mayer will entertain a company of friends tomorrow evening. Mrs. J. W. Tyndall will entertain the Young Matrons’ club at her home on Thursday afternoon. The Thimble club will meet Thursday afternoon with Mrs. J. D. Dailey. Brice True of Poe was the guest over Sunday of Ted Sowers. — o — Mrs. Agnes. Cline and Mrs. Jay Cline were shoppers In the city today. Marion Andrews of south of the city was a business visitor here today. Rev. C. H. Wharton of Fort Wayne, former pastor of the Christian church in this city, stopped off here for a short while this afternoon, on his way to Warren. Postmaster anfl Mrs. John Meriea returned this afternoon to their home at Wren. They have been away on a five weeks’ visit with relatives at Gideon, Mo., and Remus, Mich.
