Howard Wisehaupt has taken a position as clerk at the F. V. Mills grocery until the beginning of his school term. Mrs. Frank Annen will arrive from Chicago Wednesday for a week’s visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Case. B. S. Braun and family, who have been visitors in the city for some time, left today for their home at Monroe. Charles McKee of Huntington, representing the Erie Stone company, was a business visitor here yesterday. Mr. and Mrs. C. Fisher and daughter. Erna, of Fort Wayne visited over Sunday with their daughter, Mrs. Wehmeyer. E. H. Kilbourne of Fort Wayne joined his wife here in a visit over Sunday with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. U. Deininger. Mrs. Bradbury left yesterday afternoon for Chicago after a several weeks' visit with her sister, Mrs. Andrew Welfley. Messrs. Mrs. Thomas Perkins, who has been quite sick with typhoid fever for several weeks, is somewhat improved, as the fever does not run so high, and remains lower longer at one period. Miss Loretta Harkenrider of Fort Wayne will arrive today to demonstrate for the Singer Sewing Machine company at the fair. While here she will be the guest of Miss Amelia Weber. Henry Loshe of Fort Recovery, a former resident of this place, was in the city on business and to attend the meeting of the stockholders of the telephone company. He left this morning for St. Anthony, Ohio, where he will attend the golden wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Harmon Millenkamp, which was celebrated today.

Tom Haefling of Flint, Mich., who arrived in the city Sunday morning, was at Fort Wayne for a short while on business. Mrs. Margaret Meibers and Mrs. T. Droppieman of Louisville, Ky., will go to Rome City for a visit the latter part of the week. C. C. Schug of Berne passed through the city this morning, stopping off here a short while en route to Fort Wayne for a visit. Miss Clara Peters, who has been spending a week’s vacation in Cincinnati, Ohio, returned yesterday to her work at Fort Wayne. Mrs. Elizabeth Wynn and granddaughter. Walter Fritz and Peter Landfair passed through the city on their way to Kalamazoo, after a visit with friends in Chattanooga, Ohio. The Misses Marie Heckman. Rose Schlickman and Anna Boese have begun work for the Boese millinery store after the summer's vacation. E. H. Kilbourne of Fort Wayne was in the city over Sunday the guest of Mrs. Kilbourne, who is visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. U. Deininger. Rural Mail Carriers Neaderhouser of Berne and Mel Butler of this city have returned from Logansport, where they attended the rural mail carriers’ convention. Mrs. Harry Horn of Union City and Mrs. William King of Sidney, Ohio, will arrive in the city Tuesday to be the guests of the former’s mother, Mrs. Carrio Schaub. Commissioners Martin Laughlin and Henry Zwick were entertained by J. R. Graber and family at the cohnty infirmary last evening, where they spent a right sociable evening, that was mutually enjoyable. Miss Bernidette Forbing left yesterday for Tipton, where she will enter the academy conducted by the Sisters of St. Joseph. She was accompanied by her sister, Eleanore. who will see that all the necessary arrangements are made. Flora, Clarence and Julius Fledderjohann. Grace Purdy, Huldah Loser, Stella Chronister, Inez Coverdale and Florine Edwards took an automobile trip to the Wagner home near Berne, where they were entertained Sunday by Lucy and Franklin Wagoner. They also visited in Berne.
