SNELL BABY FUNERAL. The funeral of little Mary, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vai Snell, whose death occurred on last Wednesday evening, was held this morning at 10 o’clock from the Washington church. A large number of relatives and friends of the family were in attendance. THE TENTH FAIR Great Northern Will Open Next Tuesday—Bigger and Better Than Ever. EVERYTHING READY Great Program For Each Day—Get Ready and Bring Your Friends. Only three more days until the date for opening tne tenth annual exhibit of the Great Northern Indiana fair in Decatur, ft scarcely seems ten years since the first fair, but it's a fact and during those years the men behind the fair have put in much time and money to give us a fair each year. Steadily they have built up the park until it is now acknowledged to be the most beautiful and convenient in the entire state. Next Tuesday the tenth annual show opens for -four days. No time has been spared to make this the best of all and it will be. Only the weather man can prevent it being a most successful event. The races will be much better than ever. Four races each day will be weW filled. The exhibits will be far above the average. The free attractions with the Hoaglan Brothers as the big feature will excell anything ever in this section. Tomo’row the stock and other attractions will begin to come in. A large number of the members of the Christian Endeavor society of the German Reformed church will go to the home of Miss Margaret Weidler. four miles east of the city this evening, where the regular monthly business and social session will be held. The party will go on a hayrack. Professor and Mrs. E. E. Rice had as their guest at 6 o’clock dinner last evening Professor George W. Neet. of Valparaiso. Professor Neet, who is one of the institute instructors, is at the head oi the teachers’ training department of Valparaiso university. The Misses Eva and Minta Acker will be hostesses at a party given this evening for Mrs. C. 0. France, who will leave soon for Columbia City, to make her home. Miss Bess Ferguson of Willshire, Ohio, who is attending the., teachers’ institute here, was entertained over night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Artman. Miss Dora Johnson of Sacramento. California, who is the guest of Albert Acker and family, was entertained at dinned today by Miss Nora Ahr. Mrs. A. M. Henry and niece, Mrs. O. P. Schug, are spending the day the guests of Mrs. G. A.
