The train was bound southward, and owing to some misunderstanding a freight was standing on the main track and the passenger train, which, luckily, was running at a very slow speed, crasned into the rear end and several of the freight cars were badly damaged. No one was injured on either train. The track was torn up for several feet and all trains during the remainder of the day were forced to pass on the side track, until the same was again repaired.
