EXPLOSION CAUSES FIRE (Continued from page 1.) along all right. In the meantime the fire alarm had been sounded and was responded to quickly. James Smith got into the room and managed to hurl the tub and the burning clothes out of the window and the flames were soon under control. The loss to the Dailey-Myer company will probably reach three hundred dollars, as a number of suits of clothes were ruined. The loss to the building is abount one hundred dollars. — o— ABOUT THE SICK (Continued from page 1.) a cancerous growth at the pit of the stomach, and several doctors advised an operation. Dr. Rosenthal is expected from Fort Wayne today to give his opinion in the case. Miss Roke Schlickman is able to be out again after a two weeks' sickness of throat trouble. Ralphs Smith, who fell and broke his leg some time ago, is getting better. Doctors Clark were out yesterday and removed the cast. Mrs. George Steele, who fell and dislocated her left shoulder several days ago, is much better but Is still unable to use her arm. Mrs. Reisen Mumma had the misfortune to slip on the ice while crossing the street near her home and fall. Her spine was badly injured in the fall by striking on a sharp projection of ice. It is thought, however, that no blood vessel was ruptured and should there be no congestion she will get along all right. MASONS INSTALL OFFICERS.
