This committee was appointed in Cleveland a year ago and had for its purpose the publication of newspapers in a campaign against social evils and also the instruction of laymen along sociological lines. The committee has spent more than $7,000 and has maintained a number of students in European colleges and in American summer schools, where special sociological problems were i studied It has been suggested that the outcome of this committee's work may be the establishment of a special school Str sociological research in the United States.
