Teeple and lrven Brandybcrry who are buying some goods at Chicago this week, will arrive home tomorrow. The show window in Mills grocery has a very neat decoration. It is advertising Kellogg s Corn Flakes which attracts the attention of many. Charles Dunn and family will leave soon for a three or four weeks’ stay at Paw Paw lake, Michigan. They expect to have a good time, with fishing as the popular amusement. The first frost of the season is said to have occurred last evening and according to Harvey Smith the melon man, it was a good one for a starter However, it did but slight damage to the growing garden stuff, because of the fact that everything is so dry. Mrs. Glass, an experienced hairdresser. and Miss Mary Closs of this city, have opened a beauty shop at the Closs home, 26 north Third street, and will do shampooing, hairdressing, manicuring* and give massage and scalp treatment. Office hours have been announced for from two ,to four and from 7 to 8:30 p. m. The fact that there has been no grand jury ordered will mean that some other means will have to be devised for the disposition of the cases against Manson Reiff for running a blind tiger, which resulted from the raid made on the place by Detective Clark and the local officres. It was supposed at the time of the raid that there would be affidavits filed, but as none were filed at that time it was then generally supposed that the cases would go over until the next meeting of the grand jury. Now with no grand jury the officers of the civic league will probably take some action. —Bluffton Banner. 0 DEEDS, NOT WORDS. Decatur People Have Absolute Proof of Deeds at Home. It’s not words but deeds that prove true merit. X The deeds of Doan’s Kidney Pills, For Decatur kidney sufferers. Have made their local reputation. Proof lies in the testimony of Decatur people who have been cured to stay cured.
Mrs. William H. Pennington, Grant street, Decatur, Ind., says: “I am glad to say that the cure Doan’s Kidney Pills made in my case in 1902 has been permanent. At that time I gave a statement for publication endorsing this remedy and now I gladly confirm what I then said. I suffered from disordered kidneys for over two years and my back ached almost constantly. Having my attention called to Doan's Kidney Pills, I procured a box from the Holthouse Drug Co. and commenced using them. All symptoms of kidney complaint soon left me and at this time I am in good health. Other members of my family have taken Doan’s Kidney Pills and have been benefited just as much as I."
