Mrs. Berling will stop off in Chicago on her return for a short visit with friends. o— GRAND RAPIDS CLUB TO NEWARK Columbus, 0., Aug. 13—Arrangements were completed for the transfer of the Grand Rapids franchise of the Central league to Newark which recently refused to support its Ohio state league club. Tbe first game will be played Friday with Zanesville and Newark fans have posted a guarantee of SI,OOO to protect the club against loss. President Quinn, of the Ohio State league, declared that the Newark club will be transferred to Grand Rapids, although the Central league is expected to make an effort to hold that city. r O Miss Ruth Frisinger is visiting relatives at Rockford. Mrs. Hattie Engle residing in the west part of the city is quite sick.
