To reach the height of the mountain they were compelled to travel twentyfour miles by rail. Last Friday the Hartmans and Parents prepared to go to a picnic near Mt. Sanitas and were well on their way when a cloudburst drove them to shelter. It was indeed fortunate that they had not started a half hour sooner, as three people were drowned at the very place they had planned to visit. Mr. Parent states they had the time of their life and he reports the Hartmans doing well in Boulder. Prof. Hartman is at present teaching in a summer school at a handsome salary.
