Dr. Augustus Ralston, of New Corydon, in the City PRACTICED LONG He Long Ago Attained Success and Has Lived a Good Life I Dr. Augustus Ralston of New Corydon, was in the city on business today. Mr. Ralston has been engaged in the practice of medicine in New Corydon for the period of twenty-nine. years, ajnd during that time has honored the profession of medicine. Besides being successful in the practice he always looked after his patients and never drew the line between the rich and the poor, but he visited all sorts of humanity at all times of the day or night, the matter of payment being a foreign consideration. He has been more than successful ijn his practice, and as a matter of fact his personal affairs also succeeded, and now besides his home in New Corydon he can count 280 proud acres in Jefferson township, and 180 acres in Jay county, all of it rich and fertile and well adapted for making gold dollars swell in your hand. Dr. Ralston’s practice extejnds over Jefferson, Blue Creek and townships in this county, and a good section of Jay county, and during the early period of his practice he covered a great deal of this territory on horseback. His health in recent years has not been the best, and last winter he was south where he received much benefit, a|nd it is expected that he will again go south this coming winter.

STOLE MONEY FROM A CHURCH Birthday Offering Taken from Salem Church Sunday—Party Known. What do you think of a person so mean and low-down as to steal a birthday offering box right out of a church? It hardly seems possible that any one could have the nerve, but this very thing happened at the Salem churqh, two and one-half miles east of Decatur yesterday, July 18th. The worst of it is that the party is known, and unless the money is returned at once, the full extent of the law will be used to punish him and make this an example.
