Why don’t you get rid of that nasty, humiliating disease catarrh ? You can do it if you really want to. But you can't cure catarrh in a few days that’s an utter impossibility, because there Is no remedy known that will kill the catarrh germs in t.hnt short time. But you can cure catarrh if you will have a little patience and breathe in Hyomei (pronounced High-o-me) three or four times a day. Hyomei cures catarrh by killing the germs and it kills the germs because it gets where the germs are. Hyomei is a powerful antiseptic and ger kmiller air; it is made from the fluid extracted from the eucalyptus trees of inland Australia w’here cabas never existed. It gives relief instantly, stops hawking in a few days and is guaranteed to cure catarrh, asthma, croup and bronchitis or money back. A complete outfit, including inhaler costs SI.OO, and extra bottles of Hyomei if ifterward needed, cost but 50 cents. Sold by leading druggist everywhere. "Hyomei certainly saved my life and I accord it the credit which it deserves and merits. There is nothing too strong for me to say regarding Hyomei.”—Mrs. Ada Hopkins, 8 Cutter Ave., Coldwater, Mich., August | 22, 1908.

, SOMETHING THAT NATURE INTENDED. ! It Took Twenty Years to Make the Discovery. t Nature undoubtedly intended the scientist in question to be ahealer of the sick, through the medium of the > wonderful discovery he made. After ' experimenting with many combina- • tions of roots and herbs since early ! manhood, he at last discovered the wonderful Root Juice, to which hundreds are now indebted for the re- , covery of their health, after having suffered for years with chronic stom- , ach, liver or kidney trouble. While Root Juice is (comparatively speaking) a new remedy, it represents many years of hard study and ntfmerous experiments, and is the medical masterpiece of a man who has studied the merits of various roots and herbs for twenty years, and is rapidly covering the country with grateful people, who will always be thankful to Root Juice for the restoration of their health. If you are suffering with stomach, livger, kidney or bowel trouble, you should go to the Holthouse drug store, and they will tell you all about the many wonderful cures Root Juice has made in this locality. — o WOMAN, LOVELY WOMAN But Alas, Without Beautiful Hair No Woman Can Be Handsome. A great many newspapers and magazines are printing pages on how a woman can be beautiful and keep beautiful. And every one, as you can see for yourself, admits that no woman can be really beautiful unless she has lustrous and luxuriant hair. The women of Paris are, as a rule, beautiful and keep beautiful, and a ! careful American observer who has ! traveled much claims that their beauty is due to their knowledge of how ' to keep their hair luxuriant, which s they do by using a superior hair tonic. 8 Many American women are as wise as their French sisters, and that is why Parisian Sage, the quick acting and greatest of all hair restorers and tonics, is now having such a tremen- ® dous sale in America. We ask every woman reader of this s paper to give this marvelous hair f beautifier a thorough trial, and we ’• gladly make them this liberal offer: Get a large 50 cent bottle from 3 J Holthouse today, the largest for the ‘(money in America. Use it as direct"j ed for two weeks. If at the end of * i that time you are not satisfied with ‘ results, say so to Holthouse and he will give you your money back. Besides being a delightful and invigorating hair dressing, free from grease and stickiness, Parisian Sage will surely cure dandruff, stop falling hair and itching of the scalp, or money back. The girl with the Auburn hair is on every package, and leading druggists in every town sell Parisian Sage.

A committee from this organization consisting of Messrs Patterson, Fordyce and Teeple called at the doctor's office this morning, where, after expressing the heartfelt thanks of the post for his great help in the Decoration services of the past twenty-three years, they presented him with a magnificent gold band ring. Dr. Neptune could not subdue his emotions so appreciative was he of the gift from the noble organization, but he managed to say that the gift would be cherished by him as long as he shall live. Dr. Neptune for twenty-three years past has furnished the music for Decoration day services and has played a drum himself without any charge whatever. WAS A GRAND TIME Friends of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Lee Surprise Them WILL LEAVE CITY Mr. Lee Left Today for New Home Near Fremont, Michigan Sixteen members of the Christian church very pleasantly surprised Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Lee last evening bygoing unexpectedly to their home, where a splendid time ensued. The guests gathered to bid farewell to Mr. and Mrs. Lee who have packed their goods to go to Michigan for future abode and a most delightful social hour was enjoyed. Mr. Lee left today for Fremont, Michigan, where several weeks ago he purchased a farm of sixty acres. The land was bought through Harvey Harruff of this city, and it is said to be one of the best in that section of the state. Mr. Lee will farm the place and take care of the abundance of fruit thereon. He has lived in Decatur a number of years and has taught music during that time. He has been a very valuable citizen and Decatur folk will be loath to lose the estimable family. However, Mr. Lee has been advised to seek a different climate on account of his health. May success attend their future is the wish of all their acquaintances. Mrs. Lee will go to Fort Wayne Thursday, where she will remain over Sunday with relatives, leaving there Monday for Michigan to join her husband. o CARD OF THANKS. We desire in this way to extend our sincere thanks to the friends, neighbors and members of Ben Hur, who so kindly gave their assistance during the long illness and at the time of the death of our husband and father. Mrs. Marys V. Dailey and daughter. o CHARGES AGAINST PATENT MEDICINES. Most of the charges against patent medicines as a class have no foundation in fact and are manifestly unfair and unjust. There are a large number of standard remedies like Lydia E. Pinkham's Vegetable Compound used in thousands of American homes which have saved hundreds of dollars to families who could not afford to consult a physician, and they have answered the purpose equally as well. o CARD OF THANKS. We desire in this manner to express our heartfelt thanks to our friends and neighbors who so kindly assisted us during the death of our dear son and brother; also for the many beautifu floral offerings. A. M. York and family.
