FARMS WANTED TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN— I desire to list for sale for a short time several up-to-date, good, productive farms, as I have in view a number of good prospective buyers for farms from 80 to 200 acres. Bear m mind it will cost you nothing to list unless satisactory sale is made, and that this is the high tide in farm sales from now until March Isth, and if you expect to sell, you often miss a good opportunity by not having your farm listed and on the market. Send in by mail or call at office, corner of Monroe and Second streets. I have just secured the agency for Rev River Valley, Manitoba wheat lands. The best in the world, as low as $15.00 per acre. Will furnish free information on application in person or by mail. Dan Erwin

COURT HOUSE NEWS (Continued from Page One) remonstrances had been filed by the temperance forces which were held not to be sufficient by the board, the temperance people refused to abide by the action of the board, appealed the same to the Allen circuit court, and the liquor men took a change of venue and the cases were sent to this county, where the question of the validity of the licenses will be tried in the near future. Attorney Jesse C. Sutton, acting as attorney for the administratrix of the estate of Shelby Ray. deceased, this morning sold •at public auction at the front door of the court house some real estate owned by the deceased. wTiich was disposed to Liechty Bros. & Company, of Berne, for $2.75".
In the case of Page vs. Niblick, the defendants filed an affidavit for a change of venue from the county, which was granted by Judge LaFollette, who sent the same to Wells county, where the cause will no doubt be tried. The case of the Fort Wayne & Springfield Railway company against the G. R. & I. Railway company was tried this morning before Judge Merryman and resulted in a verdict for the Iplaintiff. The defendants then asked for an appeal to the supreme court, which was Ranted by the court after defendants filed a bond for $200.00. The court gave them sixty days to perfect their appeal.
THE LEGISLATURE (Continued from page 2.) , they received for such fees. Two Marion county sheriffs had to pay back large sums on this account., Two years ago me inaiana Sheriffs’ Association had this bill prepared by William Bosson. attorney for the assocation, and it was introduced in the house by Representative Edwards by request. When it was passed Governor Hanly vetoed it. When it was known that the bill would come on for passage over the veto at this session a lobby of sheriffs from over the state came to town and have been camping with the legislature ever since. The bill will be a law as scon as it is signed by LieutenantGovernor Hall and Speaker Honan. Senator Shafer Introduced a bill to piovide that each county farmers’ institute of the state shall draw from the county 25 tents for each squire mile of territory in the county. At present the county institutes receive SIOO from the county minus the membership fees of the institute. Senator Shafer says his bill would provide for about the same amount of financial aid from the county treasuries, but that it would be distributed among the counties more satisfactorily. • A bill by Senator Halleck would amend the present pharmacy law so that any person who has held a license for twenty-three years continuously as an assistant pharmacist and has been continuously employed as a pharmacist shall be entitled to a license. Unemployment for periods of not more than six months at any time within the twenty-three years would not prohibit the assistant from obtaining the license as a pharmacist. It is provided that the person applying for such licenses shall present affidavits from two licensed physicians as to the length of time he has held a license as an assistant pharmacist.
