COURT HOUSE NEWS (Continued <rom page 1.) be delivered to the various inspectors on Saturday. James McLeith, 28, a steam fitter from Fort Wayne, and Agnes Bertrand. 28, place, were granted a license to wed and Judge Merryman tied the knot. A license to marry has been issued to Otto Stuckey. 26, a lumberman, and Cora Sprunger, 23, of Berne. o— ■ — TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: We,- the undersigned members of the Jay County Bar, most of whom were engaged in the practice of lawat the time the Hon. Jchn A. M. Adair was clerk of tbe Jay Circuit Court, have carefully examined a printed pamphlet put in circulation by N. B. Hawkins, charging that during Adair’s term of office, as clerk of said court, some fifteen years ago, he over-taxed certain fees in litigated cases and estates. In justice to Mr. Adair, we would say that no investigation was ordered or made, by any one in authority, but a pretended investigation for political, purposes, was made by one Earl Patterson, of Muncie, who was and now is in the employ of said N. B. Hawkins, Republican candidate for Congress. That we have examined said pamphlet and find the same is false, slanderous and misleading. That the tees taxed by Mr. Adair were within the law, were approved by the court and were satisfactory to both litigants and attorneys. His demeanor and conduct as ® county official was gentlemanly, honest and courteous, and we are frank to say that there were no fees illegally*taxed or collected by him, as such clerk. JOHN M. And Incidentally Constipation, Coated Tongue, Nervousness, Headache and Other Symptoms Did you ever know that the stomach is a churn? That just as soon as you are done eating, the healthy stomach commences to re 11 the food around, and mixes it thoroughly with the Juices of the stomach? And did you know, dear reader, that if the stomach is run down or flabby, so that it cannot do the churning, that dyspepsia is the result? If the food is net churned, it lays heavily on your stomach, turns sour, and causes all kinds of distressing symptoms, such as headache, coated tongue, constitpation, etc. And so, as every physician will tell you, the way to cure dyspepsia is to fix the churn, or in other words, build up the stomach so that it will properly mix the food. If ycu have dyspepsia and want to get rid of it before it gets rid of you, go to Holthouse Drug Co. the druggist, and get a large hex of Mi-o-na tablets. The cost js only 50 cents, and every reader of Democrat is welcome to his or her money back if Ml-o-na does not cure.
