Treasurer of Adams county, ' state of Indiana. will, on 1 i Monday, May 25. 1908, 1 at the room of the board of commis- j aioners in the auditor's office in the i city of Decatur. Indiana, receive seal- > ed bids for the purchase and sale of ’ certain macadam road bonds herein- ' after described issued by the board of commissioners of said county, for the construction of the roads hereinafter * named as follows, to-wit: For the oorstructscn of the Ahr ' fnadAdam road in Union township, Adams county. Indiana, the entire issue of bonds for said road being in the sum of $9,460. being in twenty--120) semai-nnual payments, bearing date of May 15, 1908. and each bond being in the sum of $474.09. with 4% per cent Interest, payable semi-annual-ly with coupons attached. Sealed bids will be received until 10 o'clock a. m. of said day. Each—bid must be accompanied with a certified check in amount equal to three (3) per cent, of the amount of the bM, which eheck must be drawn against monies deposited in any reliable bank in said county; said check must be made payable or endorsed to the board of commissioners and shall be held as guaranty for the performance of such bid. and should sueh bid be accepted the said check shall be forfeited to the county should the bidder fail to comply with the conditions of his said bid. Each of said bonds will bear date of May 15. 1908. and should the bonds be not ready for delivery on the day the bids are received and accepted, the interest will be refunded by the purchaser at the rate of four and onehalf per cent, from the date of May 15. 1908. until the date when the purchase price of said bonds are paid to the county treasurer and the bonds delivered.
