COUNCIL MEETING (Continued from page 1.) same, the council adopted a resolution ordering the said sewer built. A resolution ordering the construction of a brick pavement along Mercer avenue from the Presbyterian church south to High street was read and adopted aud the council set and fixed the 16th day of June as a time when objections to the same could be heard. The bond and contract of Julius Haugk for the construction of the brick alleys were read and adopted and ordered spread of record. Upon motion by Burns the city attorney was instructed to draft a resolution ordering that the city build a city hall, said resolution to provide for said construction in every respect, (said resolution to be ready for the next meeting. It would now seem that the prediction made in the Democrat a few evenings ago in relation to this proposition, will come true, and will be a great improvement for the city.
