He hasn’t said out loud whether or not he is going to be his own candidate for congress. Consequently he has the other candidates, or most of them.' in hot water. Senator Hawkins, however, knows he has it cinched, be-1 cause he has made a "Strong Bid.” 1 He is, and always has been, on de-1 cidedly intimate terms with G. W. Cromer—he even had Cromer’s Muncie Observer office print his booklets—and he is slated as the candidate provided Cromer decides to not be a can didate. —Portland Sun. One man offered to furnish Marion county with boilers for a power plant ■ for $15,000. Another put in a bid for $21,000. The high bidder got the contract. A grand jury indictment now charges that two commissioners received a bribe of $3,800 in the transac- , tion, and these two and the alleged briber are under arrest. Many other i startling revelations are expected and a political upheaval in Marion county is as certain as anything can be that . has not already taken place. Please govern yourself accordingly. J. F. LACHOT. ts County Treasurer. o STETSON'S UNCLE TOM'S CABIN Stetson s Great Double Spectacular production of “Uncle Tom's Cabin" is booked at the Bosse opera house for Thursday, March 12. The way this old drama has heen mercilessly butchered by the “fly-by-night” companies in the past makes one marvel that it has not long ere this lost its power of attracting people to a play house, and indeed It has, except when Stetson’s company comes to town. The public has grown to know Stetson's and to know that it alone lifted Uncle Tom’s Cabin” from mediocrity to mastery. In short, it is the only company presenting this American classic with capital enough, with suffleent scenery, people a»d railroad equipment. Stetson is the only one giving it the needful environment to ensure a perfect representation; and no more enjoyable entertainment Fill be seen on the local boards than Stetson’s ‘‘Uncle Tom’s Cabin.” Specialties galore, wonderful mechanical effects, new costumes and a splendid orchestra will be in evidence.

A FILTHY CONDITION
Many a man. otherwise scrupulously clean is dandruff dirty. The small persistent germs of dandruff working all day as well as night are constantly throwing off the small white dandruff scales which falling on the shoulders of a coat gives it a filthy appearance which is repulsive to the friends of the victim. Many men allow this condition to exist because they believe there is no cure for <Vmruff; they have ttfied various so called cures with unsatisfactory results and naturally condemn all. They have never heard that so far back as 20 yers ago Dr Giroux the foremost dermatologist of France discovered and compounded a formula that since that time has cured thousands upon thousands of the most chronic cases of dandruff in anywhere from three days to two weeks. This famous prescription of Dr Giroux’s is called Parisian Sage and is now put up m America, but only by the Giroux Mfg. Co., of Buffalo. N. Y It is for sale in Decatur by Holthouse Drug Co., who guarantees it to cure dandruff in two weeks or money back. Parisian Sage is guaranteed to do more; it will make short grow long, lustrous and' luxuriant- it will stop hair falling out; it will cure diseases of the scalp. Holthouse Dnig Co. guarantees it-every bottle of it. The price is only 50 cents and if you want to stop the filthy dandruff flakes from lodging on your X I
