Indications point to the abandonment by the Interstate Commerce Commission of its intention to prosecute the Monon road for ignoring the rule that advertising may not be paid for, in whole or in part, in transportation. Since the filing of the suit no attempt has been made by. the commission to bring it to a hearing, but it has been intimated that its legal advisers have informed it that it has no basis on which to prosecute. However this may be, the Monon has decided to go ahead and make its advertising contracts for next year on the same basis as this year, and to defend its action, if neuessary, in the court of last resort—Frankfort Crescent
