The Weak Point t The weak point of most shoes is the arch; there all the strain and weight are concentrated. It is the one vital point that should be firmly supported. The arch construction of the “Krippendorf” shoe gives this support. There is an indescribable snugness under the arch that most other shoes have ever lacked. It relieves the strain on the delicate and sensitive parts of the foot. Ladies’ $3.00, $3.50 and $4.00 Charlie Voglewede SELLS THE SHOES

It consisted of two wheels about thirty inches in diameter running one In the wake of the other and connected by a beam of wood, upon which, half way from each end, was a saddle or perch, an arm rest in front completing the machine. It was propelled by kicking the ground with the right and left foot alternately. It was from such a crude affair that the modern bicycle was slowly evolved. Taking No Chances. The employees of the Clover Leaf railroad have bothered a great deal of late by several small boys who are continually hopping on and off trains at the station here. Mr. Miller the agent, stated to-day that the matter had reached the ears of the officials of he road at Toledo, through a detective, who happened to be here the other day, and he has received orders that unless the practice is stopped he must arrest the kids. The habit of boarding moving trains is not only very dangerous but it is also unlawful. If some child would happen to get killed, the employe shere would be held responsible for it. The worst of it is that the boys are all very young, scarcely any of them being more than ten years old. _—— o IT BEATS THEM ALL—Brazil Block. at Girt Reynolds. 243-6 t MONEY TO LOAN. At the meeting of the city council held Thursday night the committee appointed to investigate the shortage submitted a report which was accepted by the council. The report in effect recommended that the finding of the experts Messrs. Trant and Hutchinson, who twice went over the books kept by Mr. Willman, be accepted; that the city attorney be instructed immediaely to institute prpceed, ings for the collection of the shortage and that the committee be continued with authority to give the city attorney such aid as they could. —Hartford City News.
