FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN IOWA AT AGE 76
degrees and was a member of the Scottish Rite consistory and of the Shrine in Chicago.
The following article is from the Evening Journal, Washington, la., and is about Samuel T. Donahey, who during the twenty years he was with the Darling Company, made his home with the C. W. Wedeking family and was well known in Dale and surrounding communities. During the more recent years, and after his wife’s death, he spent two winters in the Wedeking Home: Samuel T. Donahey, 76, who served two terms as a member of the Washington County Board of Supervisors died Monday afternoon, March 8th, at the Sam Miller home, where he had been cared for the past two and one half years, after a long illness. Funeral services will be held at four o’clock Wednesday afternoon at the L. A. Jones Funeral Home and will be conducted by Dr. W. Eastwood of the Presbyterian Church. The fact of Mr. Donahey’s popularity among Washington County people and evidence of their confidence in him was demonstrated by the fact that he was twice elected to the Board as a Democrat in a County that is strongly Republican. He served efficiently and was known as a very capable member of the Board.
