Cpl. and Mrs. Egid Hasenour of Langley Field, Virginia, spent Wednesday evening, Feb. 24, with Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Hasenour.
Clifford Chandley was home from Evansville over the week end. Mrs. Chandley accompanied him back to Evansville Monday to visit relatives there.
Gary, 5 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Leinenbach of Ireland underwent an appendectomy Sunday.

Mrs. Will Brown of Dale underwent a minor operation Monday.

Lucille, 7 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Weisheit of Rural Route 1, Ireland, is in the hospital for observation.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Kaetzel and sons Warren and Marion, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cooper and daughter Opal and son Marion, Mr. and Mrs. Louie Cooper and son Larry and Miss Anna Addith Oskins were at Rockport Friday.
Mrs. Delbert Wright of Birdseye underwent a major operation Wednesday.

Mrs. Carrie Griffin of Huntingburg fell at her home Tuesday night and fractured her right hip. She was brought in to the hospital for x-ray, then was taken to the Welborn-Walker hospital in Evansville Wednesday to have her hip nailed.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Keller spent the week end with relatives in Linton.
Mr. and Mrs. Linsey Reed and daughter spent Sunday with Clifford Chandleys.
2 tablespoons melted butter 6 tablespoons sugar 1 1/2 cups cooked or canned sliced peaches, drained 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour*
2 teaspoons baking powder 3/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 cup cold shortening 1 well-beaten egg 6 tablespoons Pet Milk diluted with 3 tablespoons water
Turn on oven and set at hot (425°F.). Grease sides of a pan about 8x8x2 inches deep. Put melted butter in bottom of pan. Sprinkle butter with 2 tablespoons sugar. Arrange drained peaches on top of sugar. Sift flour before measuring. Resift with remaining 1/4 cup sugar, the baking powder and salt. Work cold shortening into flour mixture with pastry blender or fork. Stir in quickly but thoroughly a mixture of beaten egg and diluted milk. Spread batter on top of fruit in pan. Bake on oven shelf slightly above center about 20 minutes, or until brown. Turn out and serve warm or cold. Serves 6.

Elliott, Merlyn Elliott, J. H. Barrow, Ralph Schroer, Delia Elliott, Floyd Kaiser, Clarence Elliott, Misses Catherine Tuley and Mabel Wedeking, all of this place. Mrs. Bolte received many beautiful gifts. A delicious lunch was served by the hostesses.
