BRIDAL SHOWER GIVEN FOR MISS VELMA SCHAAF

A beautiful bridal shower was enjoyed at the home of Miss Mabel Wedeking Sunday afternoon with Miss Wedeking and Mrs. Leland Hildebraht as hostesses complimentary to Miss Velma Schaaf, whose marriage to Dr. Glenn Conway of Indianapolis will be an event of Sunday, Dec. 27th. Miss Schaaf received many beautiful gifts. Those present besides the honor guest were Mesdames Wm. Schaaf, C. E. Schaaf, Leo Heichelbech, Lydia Walter, Olive Chewning, G. M. Willison, Dorothy Denning, Harold Martin, Willard Roell, Roy Stone, Amos Weitkamp, Chas. P. Fuller, Carl Rhodes, Misses Irene McDaniel, Sadie Weedman, Jean Fuller and Evelyn Beanblossom, all of Dale, Mrs. E. H. Loehr of Huntingburg and Mrs. Bertha Fuller of Chrisney. Delicious refreshments were served by the hostesses.

CHURCH GROUP HAS NICE CHRISTMAS PARTY

The regular meeting of the Radiant Heart of the W. S. C. S. of the local Methodist church met Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Flora Williams, which was beautifully decorated for the Christmas season. The husbands were present to enjoy a covered dish supper with the ladies, also the singing of Christmas songs and a Christmas reading by Mrs. Flora Williams.

Those present besides the hostess were Rev. and Mrs. Barthol Rogers, Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Willison, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Schaaf, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Hemmer, E. V. Hartley, Mrs. Emma Grimpe, Mrs. M. B. Ladd, Mrs. Grace Kissel, Miss Tillie Schroer, Miss Sarah Schroer, Miss Grace Thompson, raid Miss Nell Clark. Miss Sadie Weedman was special guest.
