Marvin Brown, 31, railroad switchman of Huntingburg, was killed Monday morning, while working in the Huntingburg yards, when he was crushed between the couplings of two cars. He leaves his wife and two small daughters.

Misses Irene and Velma Schaaf of Indianapolis returned to Indianapolis Sunday after spending the week with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schaaf.
Miss Bernice Schum of Indianapolis spent the week end here with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Schum and family.
The 4-H club girls had a meeting, Monday, April 6. They met in the Agriculture room. They elected the following officers: Betty Flo Whitten, president; Gay Weller, vice president; Mary Agnes Elliott, secretary; Peggy L. Whitten, treasurer; Helen Werne, reporter; Dorothy Harper, song leader.

Mrs. Clinton Huppert, who is instructing a class in Home Nursing, has been notified that she will receive a week of special Red Cross training at Battle Creek, Michigan. She will leave Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Fortune of Rockport and their daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph P. Duffy, jr., visited Mir. and Mrs. Hurst Livengood Sunday afternoon. Mr. Duffy is taking a medical course at Indiana University and Mrs. Duffy is teaching at Goshen, Ind.

The wedding will take place in the early spring in the First Methodist church of South Bend. Miss Brown attended St. Mary's academy and St. Mary's college, at Notre Dame, and she finished at the Traphagen School of Fashion Design and also Katherine Gibbs school in New York. Mr. McCann attended the Brothers' school, St. Patrick's Cathedral, New York, and was graduated from Rutger's university, New Brunswick, N. J.
Lloyd Winkler and Miss Ruby Huff of Hanover College, spent the Easter vacation with their respective parents.

Misses Dorothy Nord, Ruth Mae Elliott, Annetta Rice, Mildred Wahl, Helen Smith, and Irene Singer of here and William Brown of Evansville were in an automobile wreck Saturday night about 7:30 p. m., near Santa Claus. No one was seriously hurt.
Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Eskridge and daughters Lula Mae and Lucille and grandson Junior, spent the week end at Hardinsburg, Ind., with Mr. and Mrs. Harold McCracken and family.

Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Eskridge and son Victor and daughters, Lucille and Lula Mae, were called to Evansville last Friday evening because of the sudden death of the latter’s brother-in-law, William McVey. Mr. and Mrs. McVey had just returned from a visit during the day at Tennyson, when he was struck with a heart attack.
