Dramas the sophomores are studying are “Monsieur Beaucare”, and “She Stoops to Conquer”, five act plays and “A Night at an Inn” and “The Grand Cham’s Diamond”, one-act plays.
On April 2 and 3 students and teachers will enjoy their annual Easter vacation recess. They will return to school on Monday, April 6, and work diligently until school closes on Wednesday, April 22.
Mr. Bernard Sergesketter, principal of St. Meinrad grade school visited school on Friday, March 27 and Claude Springstun, Jr., visited on Monday, March 30.
The seniors have received their invitations and calling cards. The cards are white with the lettering in gold. The invitations flaunt the class colors, blue and silver.
Mr. Sprinkle was accompanied by Mr. Livengood and Joseph Rice to Boonville where they enjoyed a chicken supper and musical numbers by the Boonville High students, Tuesday night, at the official P. A. Conference meeting. Securing referees for 1942-43 was discussed.

Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Sprinkle and son Billy are spending Easter with their daughter Mr. and Mrs. Robert Carson and famiy at Marion.
Seniors are very busy this week getting their senior pals and the teachers’ signatures in their memory books. They are also exchanging calling cards with their senior classmates and giving some to the underclassmen.

Mrs. Bertha Fuller of Chrisney spent Thursday here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Wedeking. Her mother is quite ill at this time.
GRADE ELEVEN: Melba Winkler.
Baxter bunnies are nesting in the sand boxes and on the bulletin boards in the grade rooms amid iris, daffodil, and lily cutouts. The children are also making Easter baskets and cutting letters for Easter mottoes.

Mr. and Mrs. Claude Denning are busy getting their little home in readiness for moving into.
Mrs. John Schroer is leaving Sunday for Indianapolis to spend a week with her daughters.
GRADE EIGHT: Zita Arnold, Mary Agnes Elliott, Charmaine Herr, Grant Michel, Otto Tempel, Dean Weller.
The senior cast is beginning rehearsals on their play, “Oh, Promise Me”. This play has a full quota of hilarity, apt characterizations, zestful dialogue, plausible situations, and plenty of action. It will be given about the middle of this month.

The Physics class is studying about light, mirrors, kinds of lens, and many other problems about sight and light. Also review problems are being worked in preparation for the coming semester examination.

Ninety-five students in the eighth grade from Carter, Harrison, Clay and Huff townships took the annual achievement test at the Dale school gym, Friday, March 27. There were 53 girls and 42 boys who thus signified their intention of entering Dale High School next September.

2 tablespoons corn- 1 cap water starch 2 eggs, separated
1/2 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla Mix together thoroughly 3/4 cup sugar, the cocoa, cornstarch and salt. Stir in diluted milk slowly. Put over boiling water. Cook 20 minutes after water again comes to a boil, stirring frequently. Remove from heat and slowly stir into slightly beaten egg yolks. Return to heat and cook 2 minutes longer, stirring constandy. Cool, then add vanilla. When cold, put in 9-inch baked pastry shell. Beat egg white! until stiff, but not dry. Continue beating while adding remaining cup sugar. Spread on top of pie. Bake in very slow oven (300° F.) 15 minutes, or until brown. Cool thoroughly before serving. For This Recipe You'll Need: IRRADIATED PET MILK.
