A 120 point achievement test was administered to the entire student body of the senior high school on Thursday of last week. Much valuable information is being obtained from these tests on the part of both teachers and pupils.
The sophomores of period II are reading lyric poems written by John Masefield, Amy Lowell, Robert Frost, Carl Sandburg, and other modern poets.

The Dale school is among the schools of the state selected by the Purdue University for co-op-eration in a public opinion poll. The opportunity will be given to all students in grades 10 to 12 to express opinions on 25 different subjects of vital public interest. Materials, including special mechanical pencils, have arrived for the poll. The special mechanical pencils enables the sponsors to score the poll on automatic machines.

School is continuing for the remainder of the year without a change in the time schedule.
In preparation for the county commercial contest to be held at Grandview soon, the typing students have been striving to type faster and more accurately. Several students have typed perfect papers ranging from 45 to 52 words per minute. We wish Dale success in the contest.

Those farmers who are wanting a cheap feed for feeding hogs, cattle, or poultry should be interested in purchasing surplus wheat which the government is offering for sale. A car of this wheat has arrived in Spencer county and it tested 62 pounds per bushel. Another car has been made up to arrive here at Dale. If there are any more feeders interested in getting wheat, another car can be ordered. The price of this wheat is around 91 cents per bushel. If interested see your AAA committee or if more convenient, get in touch with Ralph Traw, vocational agriculture teacher at Dale.
