Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Wellmeyer spent the holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wellmeyer of Boonville.
Mrs. W. E. Weller entertained her bridge club Tuesday evening with several tables of extra guests. Those present were Mesdames Louanna Kaiser, Emogene Heichelbech, Mollie Fowler, Earline Harper, Blanch Bockstahler, Ina Weller, Katherine Elliott, Lola Cooper, Mildred Martin, Hazel Wright, Emma Linhardt, Esther Pennington, Myrtle Hildebrant, Ida Mae Kibler, Lena Livengood, C. M. Sprinkle, Mrs. Wahlraven, Misses Garnet Hull, Estelle Richardson, and Mabel Wedeking. Prizes for high score were awarded Miss Mabel Wedeking, Miss Estelle Richardson, Mrs. Kathrine Elliott, Miss Garnet Hull and Mrs. Ina Weller. A lovely lunch was served by the hostess who was assisted by her daughter Miss Gaye.
Misses Velma and Irene Schaaf returned to Indianapolis Sunday after a, visit with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schaaf over the holiday season. Mr. Schaaf is still confined to his bed.
Miss Estelle Richardson entertained her Wednesday Night bridge club at her home this week. Special guests were Mrs. Howard Harper, Mrs. Roy Stone and Mrs. Leland Hildebrant. Prizes were awarded to Mesdames Olm Cooper, Clinton Huppert, Mrs. Wallace and Mrs. Carter Kibler. Delicious refreshments were served by the hostess.
Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Wellmeyer, Mrs. Bert Beard and Mrs. Floyd Beard and children were in Dale visiting Mrs. Beard’s son, Raydie Beard and family, Sunday.
Mrs. Goethe Thiry entertained her bridge club Tuesday evening. Prizes were awarded Miss Dorothy Medcalf, Mrs. Delmer Harris and Miss Esther Elliott. Lovely refreshments were served.
Mrs. Ebon McGregor and daughter, Roberta are expected here this week end from California and will visit the former’s parents Mr. and Mrs. S. G. Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson will return to California with the McGregors for several months stay.
Mrs. Benno Schum is suffering from a sprained ankle.
Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Wedeking and daughter Miss Miriam returned to Indianapolis Sunday after spending the New Year’s holidays at their home here.
Mr. and Mrs. Bert Brown, with their daughter, Miss Lois Brown, registered nurse of Evansville, left the first of the week for Del Ray, Fla., where they will visit their daughter and husband.
Miss Margaret Jane Pennington has returned to Purdue University after a two weeks vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. Pennington.
