HOLD THE LINE WITH THE MARINES

To-day the United States Marine Corps, an arm of the Nations first line of defense, is seeking the enlistment of young men between the ages of 17 and 30 years, who desire to serve their country in time of a National emergency. All enlisted candidates will be transferred to The Marine Corps Training Base, San Diego, California, from Headquarters in Indianapolis. After a ten weeks training course they will be assigned to duty in one of the many interesting phases of Military work performed by Marines. It is true that the physical standards for enlistment in the Marines, is high, and has always been so, but this should not discourage young men who are vitally interested, from trying, as recruiting representatives everywhere are anxious, and willing to do their utmost to help procure these willing young Americans. We know that the average young man, who has read, and heard much about the glorious traditions of the Corps, and men who are imbued with the spirit of adventure, and have a desire to travel, are bound to possess a general interest in this most versatile branch of service, whose wide range of military activity gives them a chance to serve on land, sea, or sky.
