Miss Virlee Reinke of Evansville was home over the week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Reinke.

Bill Jones of Evansville is doing some work at the Camp Ground this week.

Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Schaaf visited their son Samuel and wife at Loogootee Sunday.

Mrs. Edna Evans is suffering from an infected limb.

Clarence Kaetzel and sons were at Ferdinand Saturday night.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cooper and family were at Little Pigeon Saturday night.

Rev. Brittingham and others of Evansville were here for a baptizing at the lake last Sunday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Cecil B. Hamann of West Lafayette visited with the latter's parents last week. Mrs. Hamann remained for a longer visit.

Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Setty are moving into the Mabel Wedeking property recently vacated by Mr. and Mrs. Gus Berger. Mr. Setty is employed by the Mariah Hill Coal Co. We welcome this good family to our town.

The West End of the L. T. Robinson’s store is being treated to a coat of concrete.

Mary Ann, Barbara and Janet, from Ann Arbor, Michigan and Miss Norma Maas of Chrisney spent Thursday with Mrs. C. L. Eskridge.

Twin calves were born on the farm of Lloyd McCarty’s last Thursday. They are of the Polangus stock and are very large.

Mrs. J. H. Barrow was a visitor in Evansville Wednesday.

Pvt. Amel Royalty left Tuesday for Alaska, where he is stationed in the U. S. Army. Mrs. Royalty, formerly Miss Georgetta Wahl, will join him later.

Mr. and Mrs. Hyatt Doan and children, Joy and Jerry, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold McCracken and son Shirley, of Hardinsburg, Ind. and Mr. and Mrs. Victor Eskridge and daughter Sharron spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Eskridge and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Roy Ranger are the proud parents of a baby son born to them on Tuesday, July 15.

Harold Lloyd McCarty returned home Sunday after spending the past week with his aunt in Aurora, Ind.
