ROCHESTER, MINN. —Dr. Howard R. Ives is the first American Medic to be accepted for service in Great Britain to answer to the Red Cross call for volunteer medical men. Dr. Ives, 30 years old, is a fellow in surgery at the Mayo Foundation here.
Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Loehr and daughters will leave Saturday for Mendota, Ill. for a visit with Mrs. Loehr’s brother, H. W. Mauntel and family.
Miss Miriam Wedeking is visiting friends in Anderson.
The True Blue Sunday School Class of the United Brethren Church enjoyed a class party Tuesday evening in the church basement. A good time was had by all. Refreshments were served of sandwiches and soft drinks.
Miss Peggy Dawn Hensley of Evansville has been visiting this week with Miss Mary Lou Walter.
