The Indiana State Fair School of Home Economics will hold its 23rd annual term in the new youth building on the Indiana State Fair Grounds, Indianapolis, Indiana. The school is sponsored by the Indiana Board of Agriculture beginning Friday, August 22nd and continuing until Friday, September 5th, or Saturday, September 6th for girls with exhibits.
Mr. and Mrs. Andy Miles, who have been staying with the latter’s mother, Mrs. Telia Jones, since she broke her arm, axe spending several days at their home in Lynnville.
Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Hasenour of here attended the Hasenour-Schnell wedding at Celestine Tuesday.
The Purpose of the School
The State Fair School is held each year in order that young women of Indiana may receive practical and scientific training in the art of homemaking and to give them the educational advantages of the Fair. Scholarships and Awards
Mr. and Mrs. Victor Brown and family of Elkhart, arrived here this morning (Friday) for a visit with the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Brown and family.
PRINTING
The Indiana Board of Agriculture, in cooperation with the higher educational institutions of the State, award several scholarships to girls coming from the upper third of their High School graduating class, and making outstanding records at the Indiana State Fair School. Girls receiving scholarships must be ready to enter college immediately following the close of the State Fair School. Younger girls may compete for honor scholarships given by the State Board of Agriculture. How Pupils are Chosen

Because of additional facilities made available by the new building, it will be possible to accomodate three girls from a county in this year's school. Reservations should be made early so that counties not using their quota may be available to others wishing to send more girls. Your application must be okayed by your County Agent. Requirements
The Indiana State Fair School is open to any girl from 16 to 22 years of age. Girls who have received any college training and married women are ineligible.
Each applicant must be in good health and able to perform the duties required during the school term. On entering the school a fee of $15.00 must be paid to cover cost of food materials and help with other necessary expenses. This fee, plus traveling expenses, must be borne by the organization sending the representative.
