The Better Bakers 4-H Club met at the Dale Gym, 1:30 p. m., Friday, June 27, 1941, under the direction of Mrs. George Linhardt, Mrs. Amos Weitkamp and the junior leader Mary Lou Linhardt.
But advertising helps boost sales and production. Bigger volume cuts cost per unit made and sold. To meet competition the saving is passed on to the public in the form of a lower price. Think of the prices of radios, mechanical refrigerators and heating appliances, automobiles, light bulbs and other products when first introduced and sold in small volume. Compare with their prices today, after advertising won them enormous acceptance! Successful advertising decreases the price of goods.

Our home demonstrator, Miss Ashley, gave a very interesting talk. Dorothy Harper and May Katherine Snyder made a silver cake. Dorothalee Loehr and Bonny Derwin made muffins. Alma Jean Taylor and Dorothy Hemmer also made muffins which with cold drinks were served to sixteen members present. There were also three leaders and one visitor present, Carol Jean Schriefer.

Mr. and Mrs. Andy Schum Jr and their guests Mr. and Mrs. Al. Gasser, of Cullman, Ala., spent several days last week visiting in Chicago, Michigan and South Bend.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Schroer and little son and Mr. and Mrs. John Schroer visited the latter’s daughter Mrs. Robert Martin and family at Hardinsburg, Ky. last Sunday.
