Mr. and Mrs. Glendyl Stone visited the former's mother Mrs. Clarence Otto and family, at Harrison, Ohio Tuesday. They were accompanied home by Miss Emogene Stone who will visit here for a while.

Ice Cream Surprise

Volume UP

Chill milk until icy cold. Meanwhile, put ice cream powder in bowl. Stir in gradually a mixture of 1/4 cup chilled milk, water and vanilla. Chill thoroughly. Whip remaining 1 cup chilled milk with rotary egg beater, or electric beater at high speed, until stiff. Fold into chilled milk mixture. Freeze, without stirring, in mechanical refrigerator tray at coldest temperature, or in a mold buried in a mixture of 3 parts crushed ice to 1 part ice cream salt. Serve in Corn Flake Nests (See below). Serves 6.

3 tablespoons butter 6 tablespoons Pet 1 1/2 cups light brown Milk sugar, lightly packed

6 cups corn flakes

Melt butter in skillet. Add brown sugar. Cook slowly, stirring constantly until sugar is melted. Add milk and stir until smooth. Keep over very low heat while adding corn flakes. Turn gently over and over until all the corn flakes are coated with the milk mixture. Divide into 6 parts, putting each on waxed paper. With spoon and aid of fingers, shape into nests. Cool thoroughly. Fill centers with Vanilla Ice Cream (See above). Serves 6.
