DALE HOME ECONOMICS CLUB MET LAST TUESDAY
The Dale Home Economics Club met last Tuesday, Sept. 19, at the High School Gymnasium. The hostesses were Mesdaames Ernie Steins, Gus Berger, Charles Bockstahler, C. M. 'Sprinkle, Roy Stone, Amos Weitkamp, G. M. Willison, Henry Richardson and Miss Nell Clark. Eighteen 4-H club girls were guests. A short business meeting was in charge of Mrs. George Linhardt, club president. Miss Sadie Weedman introduced the 4-H Club girls. Mrs. C. M. Sprinkle gave a welcome and Mrs. E. H. Loehr had charge of the lesson on “Safety in the Home.” The 4-H Club girls rendered the following program; Piano Solo, Miss Dorothy Loehr. Playet, Wrong Mrs. Smith by group. Piano Solo, Miss Betty Loehr. Reading, “Raising Chickens” by Miss Viola Springston. Contest put on by the 4-H girls. The hostesses served brick ice cream and wafers.

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Phillips and daughter Mary, visited Mr. and Mrs. Roy Stone, Sunday.
The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. George Linhardt, October 25, at 10 a. m.

Glendyl Stone and Ray Medcalf turned their car over several times 1 Monday evening, when they were returning from Evansville. The car belonged to Stone, who was doing the driving. A car, that was in front of them, made a left-hand turn without giving any warning and to avoid a crash, Stone took to the ditch. Stone was badly shaken up and bruised and JVIedcalf received only bruises. The car was damaged considerably.
Mrs. Flora Winkler and daughter Brownie, accompanied her son, Lloyd to Northville, Minn., Saturday, where he entered Carolton College. They came back through Gary, Ind., where they visited, returning home Friday afternoon (today).
