The Community has lost a valuable citizen in the death of Rev. C. A. Prakes of Lamar. He was a man of high ideals and lofty principles; unasuming yet fearless in his stand for the right. We can ill afford to lose such men as he in this age of bickering and strife. Hisone aim in life was to lead folks to the knowledge of a higher and nobler existence. Free from the pretty prejudices and narrow minded indi vidualisms of our day, he saw a vision of a true brotherhood of man and worked tirelessly to help bring it about. His life was one of those lives whose influence will be felt for many years and the good he was able to do will live on and on for untold ages.
