Midland Kaliroad Blockade (Raised Last Saturday.
Judge John H. Baker, of the United States court., took a hand last Friday in the blockade of the Midland railroad, on the Crantham farm, near Ladoga, where the movement of trains has been hindered for about a week. Attorneys for the road appeared in court and asked for a restraining order against further blockading the trains and Judge Baker granted it. He directed United States Marshal
Kercheval to serve notice on Weslev and James P. Grantham and Thomas and Elizabeth Messick, forbiding them further to Impede the operation of the road, auil the temporary injunction is to be enforced by the marshal until the court can give it further hearing.
Judge Baker will give the case a final hearing on January 28. There was an awful wail from the Grantham faction when the decision became known but the railroad men went right ahead and put down the rails and repaired £the bridge. The first freight train went across the farm Saturday and tooted spitefully.
