While there she did especially good work in the drawing department making in two terms the three credits given for the work done in the three terms work as laid out in the course of study. She expects to continue her studies in that line during the summer. ..

The union temperance meeting held at the Christian church Sunday night was attended by a large crowd. Special music was rendered and the sermon by^Rev. Brooks was very good.

Bruce Hurt's fine driving mare was badly injured at Potato Creek Sunday, the buggy shaft being run in the flesh behind the fore leg. Her recovery is doubtful.
Children's day at Potato Creek Sunday was largely attended. A splendid programme was rendered by the Sunday school and excellent music was furnished by the Darlington orchestra.

George Kennedy and family, of this place, and Ira Henrv and family, of near Darlington, and Elijah Kennedy, and family, of West school house, broke bread with Jim Campbell and family at Crawfordsville Sunday.
There is a peculiar disease among some of the cattle in this vicinity. Oath Catterlin has two calves and one milk cow that have the disease. They don't seem to be sick but they juststand around and bawl and they can' be induced to eat anything.

Horace Webb and wife, of Salina, Kan., are here for a couple of months visit with their son and daughter, CharleB Webb, and Mrs. C. L. Vancleave. Mr. Webb had not been in this county for nineteen years and was astonished at the great change in the country in the way of improvements.
