Weyler to Iteeelve nn Ovation on TXIn Arrival In Spain. MADRID, Nov. 11.—It is asserted hero that, the reply of the American government to tho last Spanish coinmuniVation declares that the United States has made the greatest efforts to stop filibustering and has employed many officials and expended huge sums of money to that end.
According to a dispatch from Covunua, the port at which the steamer Montserrat, with Lieutenant. General Weyler will dock, a flotilla of steamers will meet General Weyler oil' the port and lie will be received with music and other incidents of an elaborate ovation. lie will be tendered a luncheon immediately on landing, and in the evening there will be fireworks. The Socialists are said to be planning a counter demonstration.
The cabinet council decided to empower Marshal I'lanco. governor general of Cuba, and General Primo de Rivera, governor general of the Philip pines, to grant lunnesties.

Locis\ II.I.K, Nov. 11.—The session of tho general assembly of the Knights of Labor yesterday was productive of nothing of special interest, the day being taken up with hearing claims of contested delegations and discussing reports of various committees including that Oil credentials. Today the annual report of General Master Workman Sovereign was read. It treats upon the condition of the order and contains many recommendations including an amendment to the constitution. The treatment of th" Pennsylvania miners during the recent striko was discussed and resolutions condemning the course of Sheriff Hazelton adopted.

Miss Jessie Lincoln mid Warren IIcclc- I with Married at .Milwaukee. CHICAGO, Nov. 11.—Miss 'Jessie Lin-! colli, daughter of Robert T. Lincoln, and Warren Beckwith, a young business man of Mount. Pleasant, la., wore married at Milwaukee.
A year ago young Beckwith and Miss Lincoln became sweethearts while the young woman was visiting at Mount Pleasant, the home of his mother. I Captain Beckwith, father of the groom, is a warm friend of the Lincoln family, but the yonng man, it is said, was objected to strongly. The affair, it was thought, was then broken up. Mrs. Beckwith has just returned home and admitted her marriage.

Father Hoffer, who died at Louisville last week, has been filed here for probate and it is a queer one. lie leaves all his earthly possessions to Rev. Father Arnoukl of this city, appoints him his executor and gave orders for his funeral. He said: "I want no flowers, 110 sermon. a plain coffin like the poor use, and put

but mark it with a wooden cross." The will does not state what the estate is worth, but it is quire large.
