Mrs. Frank Heck is very low with consumption. This is sad to see one just getting at a happy place in life to have to lay down and leave what they have just earned.

Horn, on Monday morning to Ol Dickson and wife, a seven pound boy. All are doing well, but Ol is in a hurry all the time he works to get it done so he can play with the baby.

Mrs. C. C. McDaniel has had two rooms built to her house, which adds greatly to its appearance.

Arthur liray is carrying his knee in a sling this week. He cut it with a cirn knife while trimming hedge Saturday.

A, D. Archey has traded his .10 acre farm near Lebanon for an 80 acre farui near Thorntown. He will build a nice cottage soon and move in time to send his children to school this winter.

The two commencement exercises held iii this township were repurted by everyone to bp better than ever kino vn before. Every part of the work was done to perfection. The commencement exercises held at the l'r. sbyterian church last Thursday night were largely attended, the building not being large enough to accommodate the crowd. At Yountsville Miss Grace Sweeney won first honor and Miss Nettie Pickett second. At Alamo Miss Gertrude Wilkinson won first honor and Miss Orpha Bowerman second. The four will speak at the Presbyterian church Saturday night, June 5, for first and second in this township. There will be plenty of good music and volunteer speaking. Everybody is cordially invited.
