L. M. Coons and Rose King won the prizes last week. The correspondents' reunion will be held on Wednesday, August 29. All correspondents on arriving in Crawfordsville will report at THE JOURNAL office and all will be shown through THE JOURNAL building. The reunion will begin about 10 or 11 o'clock and will be held in the Red Men's new hall in the Crowford block, just south of THE JOURNAL building. There a substantial lunch will be served at noon. It will, of course, be a busy day for the caterers and THE JOURNAI. cannot promise a symposium, but no effort will be spared to at least have plenty. The correspondents need not trouble themselves to bring lunch. At the lunch there will probably be a short address of welcome made after which the meeting will be in the hands of the correspondents. They can call on each other for remarks, can effect an orga'nzation or do as they please. At the proper time all will repair to the circus and be THE JOURNAL'S guests at Sell's unrivaled performance. The morning parade can be witnessed from the windows of the hall. Of course, only the correspondents of THE JOURNALare expected to be present on this occasion and THE JOURNAL COMPANY trusts that the day will be pleasantly passed by all.

World's Fair and Diploma

awarded to

Dr. Price's Cream Baking Powder

The highest award was given on every claim, comprising superiority in leavening power, keeping properties, purity and excellence. This verdict has been given by the best jury ever assembled for such a purpose, backed by the recommendation of the Chief Chemist of the United States Department of Agriculture, Washington, D. C., who made an elaborate examination and test of all the baking powders. This is pre-eminently the highest authority on such matters in America.

This verdict conclusively settles the question and proves that Dr. Price's Cream Baking Powder is superior in every way to any other brand.

NOTE.—'The Chief Chemist rejected the Alum baking powders, stating to the World's Fair jury that he considered them unwholesome.

Several of the young lasses and older girls have what seems to them a high sense for dress reform. They had read of the historic bloomer and they decided to even beat that, so last Saturday night they arrayed in many colors and as many attires. Some really wore the bloomers, some men's attire and to some it was a decided hit to wear operatic dresses. They did not remain in but sallied forth and paraded the streets, much to the confusion of the town loafer. Well girls, this seems a little gay, but on account of social standing we did not use any names but shall next time.
