Wheat is very rank, corn all planted, grass growing line, everybody very busy, not much sickness and all nature seems to be smiling. Surely there is much to be thankful for. llev. Merton llolsinger delivered quite an able discourse at llethel church on Sunday: subject. ••Heaven, or the Christian's Hope." Services there every second and fourth Sundays at 11 o'clock. Sabbath school every Sunday at a. m. Everybody invited to attend these services.

Mull Bros., to whom was awarded the contract to take down and remove the old school house, and clean the brick, began work Wednesday.

Ex-Priest Rudolph was to have lectured at the opera house on Saturday night, but not having been advertised only a short time, so small an audience was in attendance that lie did speak.
An infant cyclone visited our village last week, and did several very wicked little tricks, one of them was lifting Dora Ammerinan's barn from its foundation and depositing it with as gentle force in his onion bed but left the buggy, which was standing in the barn, untouched.
