Why?
Why is Strictly Pure White Lead tne best paint Because it
will' outlast all other paints, {jive a handsomer finish, better protection to the wood, and the first cost will be less.
If Barytes and other adulterants of white lead are just as good" as Strictly Pure V/hite Lead, why are all the adulterated white leads always branded Pure, or
Strictly Pure White Lead?"
This Barytes is a heavy white powder (ground stone), having tbe appearance of white lead, worthless as a paint, costing only about a cent a pound, and is only used to cheapen the mixture. What shoddy is to cloth, Barytes is to paint. Be careful to use only old and standard brands of white leacl. "Armstrong & McKelvy" "Beymer-Bauman" "Eckstein" "Fahnestock" "Anchor" "Kentucky" "Morley" "Southern" "Shipman" "Red Seal" "Collier" "Davis-Chambers" are strictly pure," Old Dutch process brands, established by a lifetime of use.
For colors use National Lead Co.'s Pure White Lead Tinting Colors with Strictly Pure White Lead.
For sale by the most reliable dealers in paints everywhere. If you are going to paint, it will pay you to send to us for a book containing information that may save you many a dollar it will only cost you a postal card to do so.

They all say that Linden has good teachers this time. A. S. Fraley is principal, Frank Elston, intermediate, and ivliss Eva McCallum, primary teacher. We have a nice school house with all the modern improvements, so let us have no dummies in our town.
It does not look well for a Good Temp ar to visit a saloon whether he fdrinks |or nut. They violate their obligation if they hang around or frequent a place where intoxicants are sold. A Good Templar has no right to play pool or Oilliards or look on while some others are playing. They often violate the obligation and do not know it.

Valuable Opals In Idaho.

'miles from Silver City. The site is a beautiful one. and the neighborhood abounds in hot springs, the water of which will boil an egg, and there is an ice cold spring which supplies the camp with drinking water. The traces of vol canic action in the region are abundant. Marks of great heat are to be seen everywhere on the rocks, and lava is plentiful. Opals are found imbedded in the rock like raisins in a cake. Each gem is inclosed in a stone matrix that must be cut away before its beauty can be seen.
Put Up and. But Down. 1 wart a word to rhyme with ills. 1 have It now I'll put down pills Kxcuse me, though—than put down pills, I'd rather suffer some big ills. To put down the old-fashioned, huge, bitter pills, that griped so and made sucb disturbance internally, is more than a wise man will do. He will not. put up with such unnecessary suffering. He uses Dr Pierce's Pleasant Pellets. As a Liver Pill they are unequaled. Smallest, cheapest, easiest to take. Put up in vials, hermetically sealed, hence always fresh and reliable, which is not true of the large pills, in wood or paste Doard boxes. As a gentle laxative only one Pellet for a dose. Three to four of these tiny, sugar coated granules act pleasantly and painlessly as a cathartic.
