Albert Miller's Setters Discounted by a Olever Oolt in ihe Possession of Judge W. P, Britton.
Judge W. P. Britton bus upon his farm just south of the city a colt possessed ol' a most remarkable trait oi character. Ii is not an old colt and not a particularly blooded colt but as genuine oddity in one respect it is i: comparable. Some days ago one of tin men about ihe farm noticed the colt standing perfectly still in tho meadow. o-,e fore foot was slightly lifted, its 1 rigid, and itt? i.eck stretched forward at. it watched something in tha grass
Another One 0? Those Wicked Burerlars. The other d^y while Johu Waughand wife, living north of the city, were here shopping a burglar entered the house and stole a gold watch and ring, some silverware and numerous other valuable articles. He also rigged himself out in some of Mr. Waugli's clothes leaving an old straw hat as a clew. By this he is known to have been a negro who begged a breakfast that same morning at the residence of a neighbor.

DEAFXESS CAN'T HE CURED by local applications, as they cannot reach the diseased portion of the ear.
There is only one way to cure deafness, and that is by constitutional remedies. Deafness is caused by an inflamed condition of the mucous lining of the Eustachian Tube. When this tube gets inflamed you have a rumbling sound or imperfect hearing, and when it is entirely closed, Deafness is the result, aud unless the inflammation can be taken out and this tube restored to its normal condition, hearing will be destroyed forever nine cases out of ten are caused by catarrh, which is nothing but an inflamed condition of the mucous surfaces. AVe will give One Hundred Dollars for any case of Deafness (caused by catarrh) that we cannot cure by taking Hill's Catarrh Cure. Send for circulars free.

eral yards away. Suddenly it advanced cautiously several steps and again assumed its former position and finally giving a leap forward threw up its head as a large covey of quails arose from its feet and whirred away to a distant part of the field. The observer greatly amused told the story to others, who to see the sport would drive the colt into fields where coveys ran. In every irstance the colt would come to a dead set when in the vicinity of the birds and tho same action it evinced on the occasion described would be repeated. Judge Britton experimented with his precocious possession last Sunday and had the satisfaction of learning that he owns the finest bird colt in the country. T! little animal never flushes a covey unt 1 he has first set them as well as any dog in Crawfordsville could do, and it finds ail there are in the field too. He has not yet been tued on 1 unting tingle birds and retrieving but will no doubt become proficient in these works if drilled. The only similar equine to Judge Britton's is an old horse owned by Boswell Clough, of New Richmond, which was last year written up at length in a well known sporting paper. Mr. Clough's horse, however, will nut hunt the birds but will set them for a few moments if it chances to stumble across a covey in the field. It will also run rabbits which, of course, greatly detracts from its value as a hunter.

TOI.KIH), O., NOV. 17.—The request of the World's Women's Christian Temperance union that the knights should indorse their resolution asking to have the world's fair closed on Sunday, and that the sale of liquor should he prohibited in the fair,' was the sul jeet of considerable discussion in the general assembly Monday.
