A Post Klcctlon Po A. T. Hicks, of Scott nouneed previous to the Harrison was elected hi lllierety pole to celebrate the event, thereupon, as soon as the result was known, secured the services of .Jacob C/'ouehman, of I'utnam county, to raise the pole. On Wednesday evening the Ijapland boys came together and the pole, 12.0 feet high, went up in the presence of !250 men, women and children heers and shouts for Harrison and Morton, hongs were sung hv the Lapland (dee Club. Speeches were made by Win. Wilkinson, and W. A. Kice. After refreshments the crowd went to ltaccoon and whooped up things till 10 clock that night.
