A short time a*:o a new order called the. Blue and Gray was organized in the city of Memphis and its organization in other sections of the South is already noticed. Its membership includes the Federal and Confederate soldiers, and it claims that the restoration of good feeling is its great aim. In otli'-r words, it is a machine lor shaking hands over the "bloodv chasm." In the constitution and by-laws A-hich it has already given to the public it declares tuat it is nut a political organization. That it expects to have a voice in politics is sufficiently proven by its resolutions in regard to the liouisiana troubles. However we will let that rest for the present and consider some other questions which its actions suggest.
