M. E. CHURCH.—Last Sunday '-vas the occasion of much interest at the 31. KChurch, it lieing the time the pastor Rev. T. S. Webb, preached his last official sermon 111 this charge for the present Conference year. The large auditorium in the church was densely tilled bj not only the members and attendants at this church, but communicants from other churches in the city. The preach er's subject being "Live not for sell' alone," his sermon was a practical one and contained much that would be useto his audience if they but heed and put it in practice. Richard llargrave, James L. Thompson, G. M. Eeswick, Milton Mahan.'John C. Smith, G. M. Boyd, Allen A. Gee, W. Graham, L. Nebeker, and many others. Three years ago the retiring pastor Rev. T. S. Webb was appointed to take charge of this station. Soon after one of the greatest, revivals ever known in the city, took place. It brought into the church a large membership representing almost all professions and classes. Tin membership then was one hundred and tiftyone: now it is nearly four hundred. The church edifice had been begun and was partly finished. Since then it has been completed and comfortably furnished. The parsonage has been enlarged and improved and now* it is one of the most desirable homes lor a preacher in the North Western Indiana Conference. During the three years of Mr. Webb's pastorate charge he has collected and canceled $7,300, leaving the church entirely free from debt. He will leave with the proud satisfaction of knowing that his successorwillnot.be called upon to arrange and adjust old claims. By courteous demeanor and Christian walk he has won the confidence and esteem of all. The good wishes not only of the congregation over which he has had charge, but of the entire community. will follow him wherever he may be called to labor.

I want to build me anew house. I have bought the ground, and it took all my •'checks" in hand, and more too. Clever bankers loaned me the balance at one pe/ cent a month and extras. Now 1 have accounts over due from six months to five years so friends pav up, (and by this will I know my friends'.)
